# 22 - Splish Splash

The fraction of a second before J goes completely underwater. Not the best picture of a splash that I took today, but I love the way her hair is standing straight up. For that - this one makes the cut.

# 11 - Half & Half

So, this picture taking gig is a whole lot of fun! Amy, why didn't you twist my arm the other 2 times?! ;)

I have to give Bobby props for the idea for this category. The kids were playing in the pool, and I was in search of "Fun in the Sun". My neighbor's 3 boys were in there doing handstands. I thought "that looks fun" and started snapping. But Bobby made the point on a picture of J jumping in the water that she was "half in and half out". And that's exactly what Danny is here!

And I thought I would never find something for this category.....

# 24 - Tiny

Who would have ever thought that "tiny" would be such a "huge" deal around our house?!

Jordan lost her first tooth yesterday! Hooray! She's only 7 1/2, and been waiting for this day for 2 years. She was the only child in 1st grade who had not lost a tooth, so she has been hoping and praying for some time.

Interesting thing is that the tooth wasn't that loose. She makes me wiggle it every night; and to be honest with you, I don't think it would even move. She was at a play date at one of her friend's house, and they were playing Polly Pockets. She was struggling to pull shorts off of one of the boys, and so she decided to get a little teeth action going. The shorts wrapped around her tooth, and when she pulled on the shorts out popped her tooth. I tell ya, she is the happiest snaggle tooth child I have ever seen.

# 20 - Sparkle

Kind of obvious, huh?!
This was taken in the parking lot as we were waiting for the firework show to begin. And who doesn't like Sparlers?! I think it is because they take us all back to those lost years when we twirlled these little metal sticks around with wide-eyed amazement.

# 5 - Did you see THAT?

Well, let's get it started!
This was taken of my dear daughter (don't worry, you will get to know Jordan very well thru this challenge), and her "BFF", Katy. I took them to the Annual 4th of July Peoples Parade in our hometown. This was one I snapped of them watching the balloons that were released from the hands of small children who were not privy to the properties of helium.

Let's get my disclaimer out of the way: I am by no means a "photographer" - I take pictures. I so wish I were better at it, and I am hoping that this challenge will force me to get out of my comfort zone and actually learn something about my camera. :)

Thank you Amy for including me in your challenge. I look forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with. Now to get them added to my blog list.....
